Legion Releases Proposed Order Builder, One Step Closer to a Complete Motion Practice Workflow

SAN JOSE, Calif. — March 23, 2026 — Legion today released its Proposed Order Builder, enabling California litigation attorneys to generate a draft proposed order from their motion papers. The tool reads the memorandum of points and authorities and supporting documents, extracts the relief requested, and produces a proposed order formatted for judicial signature with findings of fact and specific relief provisions.

California courts increasingly expect or require attorneys to submit a proposed order with their motion papers. The Proposed Order Builder analyzes the motion documents already uploaded to Legion, identifies the key findings and relief requested, and generates a structured order with hearing details, a findings section, and numbered paragraphs of ordered relief. The tool uses language drawn directly from the motion papers to ensure consistency between the brief and the proposed order.

“With this release, an attorney can generate the notice of motion, the memorandum of points and authorities, and the proposed order from one set of uploaded documents. We are getting closer to covering the full motion workflow, start to finish, on one platform.”
