Legion Launches AI-Powered Complaint Builder for California Litigation Attorneys

SAN JOSE, Calif. — March 2, 2025 — Legion, a San Jose-based legal technology company, today launched its Complaint Builder, an AI-powered tool that allows California litigation attorneys to generate complete civil complaints by uploading case documents. The platform identifies causes of action from uploaded materials, organizes factual allegations, and produces a formatted complaint ready for filing in California Superior Court.

The Complaint Builder addresses a persistent pain point in civil litigation: the initial draft of a complaint typically takes an associate 8 to 15 hours, much of it spent on formatting, organizing facts chronologically, and ensuring all required elements are present. Legion's tool reduces that timeline to under 30 minutes of attorney time, producing a draft that includes a case caption, jurisdictional allegations, numbered factual allegations organized by cause of action, and a prayer for relief – all formatted to California court specifications.
